Pine Tree Council accepted to participate in the Lion Pilot program

The Pine Tree Council has received word that they have been approved to participate in the national pilot program for the Lion Cub program. The program is designed as an introducing to Cub Scouting for both kindergarten age boys and their parents.

The program was announced in February and councils were informed of the requirements and application procedure. The Pine Tree Council submitted their application and has now been informed of acceptance in the program.

Gary Moore has been named chair to organize the effort to implement the program within the Council. Gary serves on the Executive Board and is also an Assistant Council Commissioner.

Gary will recruit a council steering committee to plan, implement and support the program. Those who would have interest in help on this effort should email him at garymoore@ptcbsa.org.
